ForewordEdit

This section covers the general rules of the server. However species specific rules may be noted on the race pages. Be sure to read carefully as ignorance is not an excuse.

Rules:Edit

1. Roleplay.Edit

  • Please make sure you've got an appropriate skin and name for your character that reflects your race.
  • Type using proper english in the in-character chat channels, (i.e. no contractions like 'u' in place of 'you' orsmileys) Accents are excepted.
  • The OOC channel, [OOC] is the ONLY chat channel that non in-character discussion can occur. Likewise, no in character chat on this channel.
  • Be mindful of metagaming, i.e. using information garnered out of context, including global chat, and used for in character gain. This is not appreciated.
  • Players are encouraged to select a profession or set of skills for their character and interact with other players and races to meet their other needs. The blacksmith probably doesn't have time to tend to livestock.
  • Roleplay is not an excuse to break other rules.

2. Griefing and Player EtiquetteEdit

- ONLY kobolds may steal, but when you steal, steal with the mindset of a kobold. Shiny things are important, but probably less so than food. Kobolds may be stolen back from in a raid or through RP.
- Do not break other people's builds, if you wish to have a building removed and the player hasn't been online in a fair while, contact a moderator, otherwise any damage is considered breaching these rules and may lead to a ban depending on the serverity
- Players who are found to be actively engaging in bullying of other players, or any other form of mistreatment will be given a single warning. If the behaviour persists a permanent ban will be issued. You are all here to have fun, you are all here to RP. This is not the spirit of the server and will be dealt with accordingly.

3. CombatEdit

  • Combat is handled through MC mechanics.
  • Permadeath is reserved for the player's discretion, however realism and fair play should be taken into account. Moderators will reserve the right to approve or disaprove any death.
  • As of March, we are adopting the policy of self policing combat. That means the players can do what the players like as far as intiating, engaging and finishing combat. The rules regarding permadeath still apply.
  • War and Raid events are equally as unregulated, with few exceptions:
    • THEFT OF ITEMS IS EXCLUSIVELY KOBOLD. WE CAN AND DO MONITOR CHESTS
    • WAR OR RAIDING DOES NOT ALLOW FOR RAZING AND GRIEFING OF STRUCTURES WITHOUT A MOD. YOU WANT TO BREAK SHIT? GET A MOD. ZERO TOLERANCE FOR IGNORANCE OF THIS RULE YOU WILL BE BANNED.

4. Race Rules:Edit

  • Players can ONLY play a being of one of the four races (no special "half elf" or "dark elf" or "half dragon leprechaun" characters.)
  • Each race has it's own racial territory (excluding kobolds, who have a central warren but may warren anywhere they choose), a capital, and a moderator who acts as an NPC leadership figure.
  • Each player race may ONLY live and build in their own territory, the only exception being kobolds who may build within racial territories as well as the land in between as they have no set boundary for their home as warrens are regularly raided or set upon by natural predators prompting a relocation
  • Farming is unrestricted between the races, other than kobolds who must steal and hunt to survive. (They may herd animals, however they will need to steal the wheat to breed them). Farms MUST meet the following requirements
  • 1. Be above ground (excepting mushroom farms)
  • 2. Not automated with redstone devices
  • Kobold warrens may be raided and destroyed as an event, a moderator must observe however. Contact them prior.
  • Kobold eggs may only be destroyed in the presence of a moderator, otherwise they are considered stolen and thus recoverable.
  • Individuals can be disaffected with their race and betray their fellows, but cannot live in another race’s territory or capital or build there.
  • Solo players (players that do not live and build within a community) will be asked to rejoin their society, as this is a roleplay and community based game and this behaviour does not reflect an understanding or willingness to do so.
  • Race swapping. Should you tire of being a human and wish to play an elf for example, you must first meet a few requirement:
  • 1. Have played in the race for a period of time that a moderator deems appropriate prior to swapping
    2. Empty your entire inventory into the communities’ resources.
